There is a modified calamity plan for the Scout centre. Unfortunately it is only available in Dutch. There is also a map of the Scout centre available.
Often people ask us where they can swim. There are some excellent swimming pools in the area. In Rotterdam there is the Tropicana. It's a big pool with lot's of toboggans. A bit smaller, but also very nice is the Lansingh in Krimpen aan den IJssel . Especially for the little ones it's a perfect pool. During the summer months there are some nice beaches you can visit. e.g. the North sea beaches or the Zevenhuizerplas. More information you can get from the summerstaff or the wardens.
Are there more things you should know? The answer is yes. You should know for example that all drugs are prohibited at the Scout centre. This includes weed. We simply don't want that stuff at the centre. Also the use of alcohol must be within reasonable degree. Violation of these rules result in direct removal from the Scout centre.
Almost everybody can visit the Netherlands . However all persons must be able to identify themselves at all times to police officers and supervising personnel on request. This applies to Dutch people but also to foreign visitors. Accepted id's are drivers licences, passports and identity cards. When you are travelling by plane be sure to inform yourself about security procedures at the airports and make sure all your documents are in order.
