Activities in Rotterdam and it's surroundings

Rotterdam is Fun! Lot 's of festivals a nd unique experiences. Events like the summer-carnival, the world harbour days and the dance parade attracts visitors from all over the world.

Also we want to mention "strand aan de Maas " the Maas-beach. The Maas is the big river that divides Rotterdam into a Northern and Southern part. Near the Big Erasmus-Bridge there is made a trendy artificial beach. You can't swim, but taking a sun-bath in the centre of Rotterdam is pretty unique. Rotterdam is known for it's architecture, and a walk trough the centre is worth your wile. Another special tour is the boat-trip along the harbour. After all Rotterdam-port is the 2nd largest port in the world.

When you go east from the Scout centre gate you'll find a typical Dutch landscape with polders, dikes and windmills. Ideal for a bike trip or hike. More information can be found at the local tourist-information (see links below).
